A different solution to the street animation!

The Horses’s Little Band

is an unprecedented Project in Portugal, totally and exclusively developed by Luís Pedro Carimbo Alves Pinheiro and Hernani Jorge Pinheiro dos Santos, music teachers, from Ponte do Rol, Torres Vedras, in the district of Lisbon.

Its objective is to participate in weddings, parties, parades, fund-raising and touristic events, soccer games, funfairs and others, turning them into an unforgettable experience.

The Horses’s  Little Band is a cart, 4m long by 2m wide, pulled by two draught horses and led by a coachman, on which twelve musicians perform. It is decorated with beautiful hand-painted panels alluding to country life( poppies,  cobs) and music. The horses wear luxurious and festive harnesses.

The musical group includes a flute, a clarinet, three saxophones: alto, tenor and baritone, two trumpets, a fluegelhorn, a baritone saxhorn, a trombone, a tuba and drum set.

Its repertoire is a miscellany of popular music and big hits, either modern or from the past,     in the most varied styles. The musical choice will always be adapted to the kind of event in perspective.

It’s activity started on  June the 10th  2005 in Ponte do Rol, in the presence of the Mayor of Torres Vedras and several local authorities.

Since this date, the project has been extended to the country, performing from Freamunde (north),  Lisboa (Lisbon), Viseu, Odivelas, Sintra, Mafra, Lourinhã, Torres Vedras, Santarém , Viana do Alentejo, Vila Franca de Xira  e Serpa (south).

Has logistic to perform inside and outside the country.
